2012 Quilt Show Guidelines (Word document)

Interest in quilting has reached a National all-time high. It was thought that it would be great fun to include rose themed quilts in our Fall National Convention in San Ramon, CA. A quilt show will be held in conjunction with the Rose Show on September 26-30, 2012. The quilt show will be co-chaired by Kathy Wyckoff and Mary Peterson.

American Rose Society members are encouraged to make plans to enter a quilt using rose patterned fabric or a rose design in the show to be held during the convention. You need not be a member of the ARS in order to exhibit a quilt. The quilts will be displayed by size.

Certificates of appreciation will be awarded to all the entries. Those viewing the show during the convention will also have an opportunity to vote for the ‘Peoples Choice’.

Exhibitors can either enter a quilt made by a single entrant or if members of a local rose society didn’t feel that could do an entire quilt, the members are encouraged to each make a square and then have the quilt assembled by one person.

While quilts remain the property of the entrant, we would like to encourage you to consider donating your quilt to the American Rose Society. All donated quilts will be raffled off during the convention with the proceeds benefiting the ARS.

If you are interested in entering a quilt in this show, please contact Mary Peterson with your intent to enter so that space can be reserved for your quilt.
