Large Quilt
Best of Category went to Claradell Shedd of Sammamish, WA. Claradell also won the PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD. Her quilt was 88" x 102" 'Grandma's Garden', a beautiful pink and green quilt with special piecing techniques and crystals for that extra sparkle. The back of this quilt is as fantastic as the front, beautiful stitching done in variagated thread. |

Lap Quilt
Best of Category went to Kandie Turner of Burien, WA. with her 40" x 40" quilt 'Victoriana Star'. It is true eye candy. This wonderful pink, black and green quilt shows off Kandie's wonderful eye for detail and her new-found talent for intricate machine quilting. |

Wall Quilt
Best of Category went to Karen Mahshi of Concord, CA with her fantastic 37" x 55" quilt 'Cook Books and Yellow Roses'. What a show stopper! The quilt paid homage to Julia Child. Karen also entered a quilt at the Shreveport Spring ARS Quilt Show last year, winning Peoples Choice in 2005. |

Miniature Quilt
Best of Category went to Bobbie Reed of Lawrenceville, GA with her 19" x 19" quilt 'Log Cabin Roses'. She used the popular technique of Paper Piecing to creat this wonderful little gem. This quilt was truly a wonderful creation with its perfect points and beautiful stitching. Bobbie also entered in the Shreveport Spring ARS Quilt Show 2005. |

Quilted Wearable Items (clothing)
Best of Category went to Kathy Wyckoff of Seattle, WA, with a Quilted Jacket. Kathy used a crazy quilt technique and decorative machine stitching combined with traditional pieced pieces to create this jacket based on a sweatshirt form. Her creation was pretty on the outside and warm and cozy on the inside. Kathy also entered in the Shreveport Spring ARS Quilt Show 2005. |

There were five 'repeat quilters' this year who had also entered the Shreveport Quilt Competion in 2005.
