Here is an example of the wording in a rose show schedule for these classes:
Class 10. Classic Hybrid Tea or Grandiflora. One bloom, without sidebuds. Classic Hybrid Teas are those introduced from 1867 through 1960. Date of introduction must appear on the entry tag in the upper right corner. Judging will be based on the merit of the entry for that variety, and typical 'exhibition form' will not necessarily be required.
Best in Class award: "Classic HT " Trophy.

Class 11. Decorative Hybrid Tea or Grandiflora. One bloom without sidebuds, including single varieties and any other variety which does not normally compete for Hybrid Tea Queen of Show. The Decorative Hybrid Tea does not normally present with exhibition form and instead of a symmetrical spiral of petals, may display a more informal configuration.
