The ARS Guidelines for Rose Society Leaders

The "White Book"

This is the American Rose Society's Guidelines for Rose Society Leaders. It was originally produced in 1999 for ARS Affiliate Societies by the Local Society Relations Committee and the Membership-Marketing Department. The original “Guidelines for Rose Society Leaders” was provided at no cost to ARS Chapter and Affiliate Rose Societies. The intent was for this book to be maintained by society presidents, and passed on to subsequent presidents. Additional or replacement notebooks were (and still are) available at cost from ARS Headquarters.

The Guidelines are divided into Sections. Each Section is one complete file, with page numbers. Also, each separate article is a file. You can download the entire Section, or any of the files as separate documents.

1-7
Editor's note: The material in this section is unchanged since the 1999 edition of the Guidelines for Rose Society Leaders. Pending the review and editing of this section, readers can seek answers to most questions in the materials about the ARS Consulting Rosarians Program on the ARS website: Consulting Rosarians. Answers to other questions can be obtained by contacting the ARS Consulting Rosarians Committee: Consulting Rosarian Committee. The impact and importance of the Consulting Rosarians program in its contribution to the educational mission of both the national and local societies cannot be overstated. Every local society has internal imperatives that mandate a functioning and healthy Consulting Rosarian Program on multiple layers of existence.
